Abstract

The upper Caquetá is an almost unknown area; 70 years ago, Emil Grosse made a geological section along the upper course of that river. In this paper a new approach of the geology of that area was made, taking into account new concepts and discoveries of the geology in the Central Cordillera, Magdalena Basin and Garzón Massif.
