Abstract
The Jacobina Group is the record of sediments deposited in a fluvial environment by meandering rivers and interbedded rivers flowing in an alluvial fan. The metaconglomerates contain detrital gold of sedimentary origin.
The Maimachi Formation records a deltaic environment where sediments deposited in tidal flats alternate with sediments left by meandering rivers. In this environment, interlaced rivers flowing in an alluvial fan were introduced, carrying a ruditic load within which traces of detrital gold have already been found.
The report recommends exploring with stratigraphic criteria in the Serranía de Naquén and the whole Maimachi Formation.
