Abstract
This report details the study carried out in different sites in the department of Cauca, with the aim of searching for limestone that would facilitate the calcification of land used for agriculture and livestock.
This report describes the characteristics of the deposits Las Yescas, Sapongo, Pisojé, Pitayó, and Los Cerrillos, of which it advises the exploitation of Pitayó because of its considerable calculated reserves.
In addition, the report gives a brief review of the use of the different forms of calcium and concludes that it should be used in the form of carbonate ground to the described fineness.
