Abstract
This report describes an important general study made by Dr. Alberto Sarmiento Alarcón of the National Geological Service of the department of Caldas, using the main roads (Report 720 of the Geological Commission of Caldas, October 1950 of the National Geological Service). Expert visited the cinnabar mine of the farm of La Esperanza that he calls Manzanillo and the Chupadero creek whose name appears as Quebrada del Roble. In addition, he describes the value of the lignite of Aranzazu as 4572 cal. in good material.
