Abstract
Antioquia, in which, from a magnetic separation and flotation, feldspar for the ceramic industry can be obtained.2) report on lead and zinc deposits at Valparaiso, Antioquia, with comments on the existence of veins and evaluation of the profitability of their exploitation. 3) report on the study of the Vende Cabezas gold mine in Riosucio, Caldas.
In that year, monthly thematic reports were also made: 1) report of the paleontology of the Mesa de Los Santos in Santander; fossils are examined, and chronostratigraphic sequences of the area are created for its formations. 2) photogeology of the Timba coalfields, Valle del Cauca; a lithological plate is made (scale 1:25 000). 3) Petrography reports; commissions were carried out in Manizales and proved the presence of sedimentary, metamorphic, and igneous rocks and the possibility of exploiting some that contribute to the industry. 4) Palaeobotanical reports with the Bogota and Guaduas formations. 5) Reports on emerald deposits SE of Lenguazaque, 6) Report on the preparation of Cali coals; 7) Report on mining geology; comments are made on the presence of limestones in the snowy Sumapaz.
